David has professional experience with all types of residential properties through serving his clients, but he has been a property owner himself since 2010, and has personal experience with 4 of the major property types: condo apartments, urban freehold townhomes (POTL or parcel of tied land), suburban homes, and rural homes. This allows David to offer his clients not only professional advice on these types of properties, but also personal experience from living in & maintaining these types of homes.
David has also helped numerous landlord clients purchase their rental properties, and then successfully find their tenants. He is also a landlord himself, and has been since 2017, again allowing him to provide his clients not only professional experience but also personal knowledge on being a landlord.
David Grew up in North Dumfries and Cambridge, and moved to Toronto with his wife Leanne in 2010. In 2018 they became parents to their son Ben, and realized they wanted to move back to the Waterloo Region to be closer to their family, and raise their son. David, Leanne and Ben now call Ayr, On home – they moved from the hustle and bustle of Queen St E in Downtown Toronto, to a rural setting on a dirt road in Ayr, and couldn’t be happier.
Before he started his real estate career, David spent nearly a decade in the fast paced engineering industry, specifically making microchips for the medical industry, at one of the largest tech companies in the Waterloo Region, ON Semiconductor. Attention to detail, data analysis, time management, and precision are incredibly important in that industry, which David applies to his real estate career on a daily basis.
